THE LIBRARY DRAWS THE CITY IN

Interactive Spaces from the Alexandra Institute transforms Roskilde Library into an experience space, which dives into the stream of information flowing between the library and the outside world.

Passing traffic sends waves into the library, which in turn control the light settings, while the kids in the children's library activate local Roskilde sites by bouncing around on a giant aerial photo of the town.

One senses the pulse of the people somewhere out in the world.

Echo of the City: 10-24 Feb. in the library's opening hours

The library's opening hours:

Mon-Fri: 10-19 hrs

Sat: 10-14 hrs

Sun: 12-16 hrs

Opening: 10 Feb. 17-20 hrs

              17-18: The installation is switched on and you can

              meet the artists from Interactive Spaces. Architect

              and light designer Bjarne Schläger will talk about

              light and dark in urban space

              18-19.30: Play and eat with the whole family. Food

              and beverages are available at a low price.

NB! Echo of the City is a part of the Ånd & Viden festival 12-13 Feb. During the festival the library is open 10-21 hrs.
